A lady reminisces about her mother’s recipes: https://blog.forever.com/forever-blog/my-memories-are-personal.
Her blog reminded me of a Filipino coconut fritter recipe that my mother used to make. She made the best coconut fritters in town. Although she taught me how to make quite a few Filipino dishes, she never gave me the recipe for her coconut fritters, probably because she didn’t think to. Anyway, she passed and her recipe passed with her. I asked everyone… my aunts, her close friends… no one had her recipe. That taught me a lesson. I’ve uploaded a lot of my signature recipes, including the recipes that my mother passed down to me, into a Recipe album on my FOREVER account. Some are handwritten, some are scanned images, others are typed into a PDF document. But they all are organized in my Recipe album (image below has them organized in various nested albums for easier retrieval) and permanently preserved for me to quickly display on a tablet whenever I want to make the recipe and available to my great great great grandchild when it’s time to bake Christmas treats. Don’t lose your secret family recipes forever; preserve them in FOREVER!
