THE SOCIAL DILEMNA
When you talk about social media, what images come to mind? Photos of your family and friends? Posts of what’s on their minds? Connecting with people from far away? Read this article to see how social media is much more than that… and not in a good way.

ADVICE FROM A SNAIL
MOM'S RECIPE NOT PRESERVED
A lady reminisces about her mother’s recipes: https://blog.forever.com/forever-blog/my-memories-are-personal.
Her blog reminded me of a Filipino coconut fritter recipe that my mother used to make. She made the best coconut fritters in town. Although she taught me how to make quite a few Filipino dishes, she never gave me the recipe for her coconut fritters, probably because she didn’t think to. Anyway, she passed and her recipe passed with her. I asked everyone… my aunts, her close friends… no one had her recipe. That taught me a lesson. I’ve uploaded a lot of my signature recipes, including the recipes that my mother passed down to me, into a Recipe album on my FOREVER account. Some are handwritten, some are scanned images, others are typed into a PDF document. But they all are organized in my Recipe album (image below has them organized in various nested albums for easier retrieval) and permanently preserved for me to quickly display on a tablet whenever I want to make the recipe and available to my great great great grandchild when it’s time to bake Christmas treats. Don’t lose your secret family recipes forever; preserve them in FOREVER!

CORONAVIRUS: THESE ARE TRYING TIMES
Hi Everyone, It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a blog. But surprisingly enough, I’ve been more busy with NatyCrops now than ever before. Maybe part of that is that I made a committment to myself in the beginning of the year that I’d put more energy into NatyCrops and grow my business. Part of it may be that the coronavirus has forced people to shelter in place at home, slow down, take stock of their lives and in the grand scheme of things, rediscover what is truly important to them. I read a neighborhood app post that because of COVID-19, parents are actually talking and interacting with their kids! Kids are actually reading books! People are actually slowing down to smell the roses… really appreciate the blessings that they have during this pandemic. Here is a link to a video news article that a fellow FOREVER ambassador provided of how others are dealing with the pandemic. Please stay safe and healthy.

FUN NEW FEATURES IN ARTISAN5
By Adriana Sanson Mederos on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 1:53 PM
Here's a list of great new features in Artisan5 that everyone should try at least once and a great reason to migrate to it if you have a 64 bit PC and meet all the other minimum software requirements...
The font manager is one of the things that I didn't know I needed but absolutely LOVE
Love the ability to work on two pages and change the shape of an element or text box!
The ability to change a shape after it is created!! (It's the main reason I upgraded!!)
The ability to make custom shaped text boxes, and then edit the shape of them to make if just right, is awesome!
The green lines for aligning! So efficient!!
The live photo mask!
The ability to really edit embellishments to make them exactly what I wanted.
The fun strokes
Love being able to override the built-in line spacing on a font. I have a bunch of cute fonts that I could never use before because the lines of text were too far apart for my page. But now I can change that!
The ability to create a duplicate page but "mirrored". I do a lot of 2 page layouts and found myself duplicating the page and then having to manually move everything.
The workable clipping masks
LOVE the text spacing - SO easy
Love that anything can be a photo drop point!
Love that you can edit anything with the right click on your mouse!
Love the blending features and that the sky is the limit for creating different blended outcomes!
Excited to be able to access my content so quickly! I like how the content manager just pops out and remembers where you are! lol! I am also excited to see how the font organizing works. AND the other thing I am totally excited about is choosing the size of your paper that you want to fill into a shape.
SPEED! SOOOOO MUCH FASTER!!!!
Love that when you're filling a shape with paper you can choose what part of the paper to use.
Most excited about being able to work on two page spreads without having to save.
Like the sampling and applying formats, shadows, effects, etc.
Love how you can use strokes and a shape together - I put the feet stroke around a hiking quote
Making a border on photos!
Since I have my artwork sorted by designer, ie. one designer = 1 library, I can click the entire designer/library and bring in all of the kits at once for this designer. This is cool when you know the designer has something but can't remember which kit it is in.
KEEP THOSE PHOTOS IN THE FOREFRONT OF YOUR LIVES

MY CHINA VOL2 PHOTOBOOK IS FINISHED!!!
Reny and I took a tour of China 5yrs ago. On that tour, we met some really nice and fun people, some of which we still keep in contact with. Five were gracious enough to share their photos of our tour with me; I immediately put them into a digital photobook. However, there were so many photos, I had to break up the book into two volumes. While China Vol1 was done relatively quickly, it took me almost 2.5yrs to finish China Vol2… chalk it up to a creative block. On Jan 2018, I buckled down, dug deep into my creativity and finally got the book done. It was such a relief to have finished the book, as other projects were waiting in the wings until I completed the China book. Also, one other couple was waiting for their copy of the book!
If you haven’t done a digital photobook yet but want to, don’t let my lack of creativity discourage you. Both China books were custom made. However, Forever Print has some very cool templates where you can select and drop your photos into beautiful pre-designed page layouts. Photobooks and all printed projects are now discounted 20% off until the end of March. And this weekend only (Mar 22-25, 2019), you’ll get an additional 20% off printing on photobook!
